One note for every row above. The same name is used in the table and in the note.
Trial lasts 28 days. Light and Professional are paid one-time licences, not subscriptions.
Trial needs an internet connection for the licence session. After activation, Light works offline. Professional core tools work offline. CAN AI Online needs internet only while that chat is used.
One licence is for one computer. It is bound to the computer where it is activated.
Light and Professional can move the activated licence to another computer under the licence rules. Trial stays on the computer where it was started.
A signal generator drives a value on a simulated node. Trial allows 7. Light allows 15. Professional has no limit.
Meters, dials, numerics, switches, and lamps on the Visual tab count toward this limit. Trial allows 7, Light allows 15, and Professional has no limit. Text boxes are not counted.
Text boxes on the Visual tab are unlimited on every edition and are not counted as instruments.
The first screen. Open or create a project, connect, import an EDS or DCF, or open the simulator, Object Dictionary, and documentation.
Connect with no adapter. Use it for a desk test when no hardware is attached.
Connect a Kvaser, PEAK, or VSCOM adapter, pick the channel and bitrate, then connect to the real bus.
Import an EDS or DCF file and start a simulated node from that file.
Read the objects in the imported EDS. Search, star favorites, and read values from a connected node.
Read or write one object. Choose the node, index, and sub-index, then see the value and the transfer history.
Choose a TPDO or RPDO, add objects, and watch the bit budget. Export the mapping, or write it when a node is connected.
Watch live PDO values for the selected node and EDS. A warning means the mapping should be checked. The program does not fill in values that were not received.
A separate live window for process variables: sliders, toggles, numeric fields, and LEDs bound to object-dictionary entries. Open it from View, then Live Monitors, then Process Data. It is not the Visual tab, and it is not the Process Data column inside Trace.
Start, stop, and pause frame capture. Filter by CAN ID or node, and read the raw frame and decoded details under the table.
Plot live signals, freeze the picture, and export CSV, PDF, or PNG. This is the chart screen. It is not Dashboard Builder.
Create a simulated node from an EDS, then start or stop it. Several nodes can be open in tabs.
Scan the bus and see each node that answers, with vendor, product, heartbeat, and whether an EDS matches.
See which nodes are online, the last heartbeat, missed counts, and the event history. The times come from real frames.
See how full the bus is, and how much of the traffic is PDO, SDO, emergency, or heartbeat.
Read node, bus, PDO, and SDO health in one place. Each finding names the node and a next step. This is a different screen from Bus Health.
A short status of active warnings and critical findings. An empty list means no health rule matched. The software does not invent findings.
Drop, delay, or duplicate frames on the selected virtual or bench channel. Use it only for a lab test. Do not enable it on a vehicle or a live plant bus.
Look for an unconfigured device, then assign a node ID or bitrate. Store keeps the change after power-off.
Build a live panel with gauges, numerics, bars, LEDs, and charts, then save the layout. Trial and Light use Live Graphs instead.
Write a script, run it, and stop it. Ask AI can insert a script. The script does not run until you press Run.
Answers from the built-in help with no internet. It does not import files or press buttons for you.
Needs internet. Type a question and send it. Scripts are written in Python Studio, not in this chat.
Check an EDS against the rules and export HTML or CSV. The file is not edited for you.
Load an older EDS and a newer EDS, then see what was added, removed, or changed.
Score the EDS and filter the findings by severity. The file is not modified.
Shows the score, issue counts, and the findings list on the same screen, with the reason for each row.
Run the checklist for adapter, bitrate, node, and heartbeat. Each step is Pass, Fail, Skipped, or Pending.
Light is $800. Professional is $1,400. Both are one-time licences.
